About the Director: James Arrabito is a co-founder of Brooklyn Media House a New York based production company. He recently produced, wrote, and directed "Annabel," an original short film about a young girl from Indiana adapting to a life in New York City. The film plays with the audiences perceptions of film language and the concept of identity to tell its story. His other films include "What’s In Alaska?", which is based on a short story by Raymond Carver. It was awarded a production grant from CUNY and screened at numerous film festivals. His thesis film, "We Can Get Them For You Wholesale," based on the short story by Neil Gaiman, received the National Board of Review Student grant award for best picture. Prior to establishing his own production company, James worked as an intern at This is That under the producers Ted Hope and Anne Carrey where he learned invaluable insight into filmmaking.
