About the Film: Frustrated attempts to bear a child overwhelm the lives of an aristocratic couple who have not yet come to understand their true nature. In the early nineteenth century, an esteemed, avian couple of considerable age are granted the miraculous gift of childbirth. Their lives become unexpectedly complicated when their wish for a baby is fulfilled.

About the Director: Christopher Cinq-Mars Jarvis is the writer, director, animator, and producer of The Birds Upstairs. He is a senior (2010-11) at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in the Film & Television Production Program. In May/June 2009, he completed an NYU Summer Study of filmmaking in Prague, Czech Republic. Christopher enjoys the arts, having studied piano for 10 years, as well as violin and saxophone for shorter periods. The scores for Pieces and The Next LeBron are his original compositions. He has also been active in baseball, basketball, and swimming during his school career.
