About the Director: Levi was raised with three adopted siblings on a dairy farm in Western Pennsylvania. Leaving the farm for Penn State University, he earned degrees in Geography and Filmmaking, which he used to land a job on the teller line of a rural bank. Here, his duties included cashing checks, taking deposits, and playing the crook in Friday-morning bank robbery drills. Levi is a 2010 graduate of New York University's prestigious Film Directing MFA program, and “Little Horses” is his thesis film. His previous shorts have screened and won awards at numerous festivals including Slamdance, Clermont-Ferrand, and Milan. These days, Levi spends his time promoting Danger Strike (a hallway contact sport he cofounded with fellow filmmaker Dani Garcia) and writing a feature film in the fabled one-night-of-high-school genre.
