Not only did Christian L. Herr bring artificial ice to the region in the late 1800s, his family farm served as a de facto gathering spot for decades. Locals would congregate to skate on the Herr’s frozen ponds, enjoy flavored ice-shavings, and marvel at their collection of exotic birds.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1622823526650{padding-top: 15px !important;padding-bottom: 15px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text css_animation=”fadeIn”][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text css_animation=”lightSpeedIn”]
